Is your Bird Too Hot?

First you want to be able to check for signs of overheating. If you bird is panting with her beak open or on the cage floor she may need some attention. She may also show signs of anxiousness if she is too hot.

USE A MISTING SPRAY BOTTLE

You can spray around the birds head as if it was raining on them. Cover the entire bird. Dont be afraid to get them completely wet. This is a good idea to do occasionally even when it is not hot outside…

PLENTY OF WATER

Birds get thirsty! Make sure they have plenty of water so they can hydrate themselves. You can even get a larger water dish so they can bath themselves.
